Alternative & Edgy Tattooed Elopement in Melbourne, Florida

If “Til Death Do Us Part” Was A Wedding Theme…

We all dream of our wedding day. But imagine coffin ring-boxes, black roses, a black lace veil, and a moody tattoo studio venue. As a member of the heavily tattooed community, I loved photographing this Alternative Elopement in Melbourne, Florida. The couple, Sammie and Nate, own Bonnie n Clyde Tattoo Studio. Nate tattooed Sammie’s entire leg sleeve with stunning imagery. They were perfect models with the ideal location. This styled shoot had everything: skull and bones décor, amazing florals, and the coolest vintage car.

A GOTHIC LOVERS DREAM

This gothic-styled elopement shoot was conceived by Kelsey Smith (Lunar Styled Shoots) and coordinated by Mariella Falls (Married by Mariella). We wanted to inspire alternative couples to remain true to themselves and not be afraid to shy away from traditional bridal looks. Kelsey collaborated with multiple vendors to make this vision come to life, and boy did she deliver. The textured florals with pops of red and gold from The Patinaed Fleur were the perfect accent to Sammie’s beautiful makeup by Bella Vous Beauty and dress by Nicole Maree Bridal.

IT’S ALL IN THE DETAILS

The dark and moody details throughout were something out of two gothic lover’s dreams. Daisy Delights created the iconic gothic wedding cake as the centerpiece with cookies and macaroons to match the theme. Sunflower Event Signage carefully crafted the invitations and details that fit the vibe perfectly, and Lovely Ring Boxes created a coffin ring box, which I have never seen before. The nails done by Orchid Nail Spa were the coolest added touch of personality to the shoot. The vintage car, from Kevin Smith, was the perfect accent prop for all of the outdoor shots and we could not be happier with the outcome.

I hope that more brides who align with dark and moody themes will find inspiration from this tattooed elopement shoot. Every couple is unique and can incorporate their own unique and personal style into their wedding. ‘Til Death Do Us Part is for those who don’t fit the societal mold of the traditional bride and groom. Every girl deserves to feel like the gothic princess that she is on her wedding day.

Whether or not you would have a gothic themed wedding, I am fully loving the moody and romantic details from this styled elopement. Contact me for more information if this is your dream wedding, and lets make some dark and moody magic happen.
