Styled Shoots Across America Wedding Editorial at Whitehurst Gallery in Tarpon Springs

Participating in the Styled Shoots Across America (SSAA) wedding editorial at Whitehurst Gallery was the kind of experience that blends education, inspiration, and artistry all in one sun-drenched summer afternoon. Set just outside of Tampa in Tarpon Springs, this was more than a styled shoot, it was a masterclass in slowing down, shooting with intention, and honoring craft.

Whitehurst Gallery is a privately owned residence-turned-venue founded by Gareth, a jewelry designer, book collector, and visionary. Inspired by his childhood trips through Washington, D.C., particularly the Jefferson Memorial, Gareth spent years transforming his home into what is now a breathtaking creative space. What began as a private gallery for friends and family has become a full-fledged family business serving the community and hosting weddings that value quiet luxury, timeless charm, and fine art storytelling. You feel it in every detail, from the stately columns, the curated book collection, the layered textures throughout the space. It’s not just a beautiful building; it’s the story of a family legacy, brought to life.

For this shoot, I leaned heavily into the editorial setups with stunning floral installations, romantic wardrobe styling, and luxe vignettes that played perfectly with the natural light. I spent the day shooting digital, 35mm film, and Super 8, capturing soft motion, emotion, and atmosphere in a way only analog can. It was refreshing to step back, slow down, and allow creativity to take the lead.
