Kate + Colt’s western engagement session on her family farm (where they’ll be tying the knot in 2026!) was fast, fun, and full of fire — proof that magic doesn’t need hours, just the right energy. We had less than 45 minutes for this shoot, but somehow managed to pack in a full engagement session with a fun twist.
The vibe was western meets sexy with a whole lot of let’s have fun with this. Kate started in a long, silky white dress that felt effortlessly bridal — timeless with a hint of sultry. Colt kept it classic with a black button-up, jeans, and boots — the kind of rugged look that feels right at home on a farm. The way they looked at each other? Electric. Against the backdrop of wide open skies and rolling fields, they felt totally at home — like we were getting a sneak peek into something sacred and personal.
And then… she changed. Kate slipped into the raddest vintage dress from the ‘80s, and we dove straight into a mock runaway bride moment. Barefoot in the grass, dress billowing behind her, and a horse casually walking alongside. It was cheeky, dramatic, and totally iconic. Think western movie meets high-fashion editorial. It was playful, spontaneous, and SO Kate. The perfect blend of romance and rebellion.
This western engagement session was pure proof that love looks best when it’s having fun. Can’t wait to be back on this very land next year when I get the honor of standing beside them AND capturing as they say “I do” — but for now, this little slice of their story already feels iconic.
