The Friel wedding at Casa Feliz in Winter Park, FL was the kind of day that proves intimacy and emotion always outshine perfection. With moody skies and soft rain throughout the afternoon, the day unfolded slowly, intentionally, and full of love.
Tucked inside the historic blue shutters and brick archways of Casa Feliz, the couple shared quiet, meaningful moments, from Ashley getting ready with her mom and sister, to a teary-eyed first look with Connor just as the rain began to fall. The weather added a softness to the day that felt poetic; and while the ceremony was moved indoors, it was heartfelt and personal, surrounded by their closest people in a space that felt like home. Thanks to the incredible vendor team, the transition from outdoor to indoor was effortless, ensuring the celebration carried on without disruption. It’s a reminder of how vital it is to have experienced, reliable vendors so you can stay present and enjoy every moment while the details are handled flawlessly. After the ceremony, we took advantage of breaks in the storm for golden-hour portraits and embraced the drizzle for some photos filled with texture, movement, and so much love.
This wedding at Casa Feliz highlighted everything I love about photographing here, the charm of the architecture, the warmth of the space, and the way it creates such a timeless backdrop for intimate celebrations. If you’re planning your own Casa Feliz wedding and want your day documented with the same intentionality, I’d love to capture it for you. Get in touch here.
