Colorado is one of the most breathtaking places in the country to get married. From towering mountain peaks and alpine lakes to vibrant cities and historic estates, the state offers an incredible variety of wedding venues for couples planning their dream day.
Whether you’re envisioning a mountaintop ceremony surrounded by the Rocky Mountains, a stylish downtown celebration, or an intimate gathering tucked away in a quiet mountain town, Colorado has a venue for every type of wedding.
As a Colorado wedding photographer, I’ve had the chance to explore venues across the state and photograph love stories in some of the most beautiful places imaginable. Below you’ll find some of the best Colorado wedding venues organized by destination to help you discover the perfect setting for your wedding.
Boulder wedding venues range from historic dining halls, boutique hotels, to modern art galleries and mountaintop restaurants overlooking the city. Couples love Boulder for its outdoor beauty and relaxed yet upscale feel.
Denver offers a wide variety of venues from historic mansions to modern industrial spaces. Explore some of the best places to get married in the Mile High City.
Many couples choose Breckenridge because it feels like a full destination wedding experience. Guests can explore the town, hike nearby trails, or enjoy the ski resort depending on the season.
Wedding venues in Estes Park include luxury mountain lodges, scenic ceremony lawns overlooking the peaks, and boutique resorts surrounded by nature.
Many weddings in Aspen also turn into full wedding weekends, where guests can explore the charming downtown area, hike through alpine landscapes, or take in the incredible scenery the area is known for.
Telluride weddings often feel like a full mountain adventure, with guests spending the weekend exploring the town, hiking nearby trails, and taking in the scenery.
If you're planning a smaller celebration or an adventure elopement, Colorado also offers incredible ceremony locations in national parks, mountain overlooks, alpine lakes, and scenic wilderness areas.
Many couples choose to elope in places like Rocky Mountain National Park, Breckenridge, Telluride, or along scenic mountain passes.

The short of it: I’m a Rocky Mountain wedding photographer endlessly inspired by alpine light, open skies, and the grounding energy of Colorado. I’m obsessed with catching the in-between moments. The hand squeezes, wind-tousled hair, messy dance floors, and the way golden light wraps around you just before the sun dips behind the mountains.
Your wedding story is uniquely yours. My approach is intentional and heartfelt, with every photo crafted to capture warmth, connection, and effortless beauty. My work blends documentary storytelling with editorial minimalism to create galleries that feel timeless, emotional, and true to your day.
Like evergreen trees,
my photos are everlasting.
Evergreen Photo Co. was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Emily and her team were easy to reach, warm and cheerful throughout the entire process. Their attention to detail and thoughtful approach really shone through on our wedding day. When it started raining as our outdoor ceremony began, Emily was quick to make sure we got outdoor photos as soon as it lightened up - it's clear she cared a lot about the outcome of our photos! Emily's second shooters were equally as kind and easy to work with. We're thrilled with the beautiful photos that captured all the special moments of our day.
THE friels
There’s something magical about film, both 35mm and Super 8 video, that digital can’t quite match. Shooting with film has made me a more intentional, thoughtful, and creative storyteller. Every frame feels nostalgic, imperfect in the best way, and filled with the emotion of the moment.
Having 35mm film included in your wedding package offers a tangible, timeless way to preserve the day. The tones, the textures, the feeling, all offer a nostalgic form of your wedding photos. In a world of instant everything, working with film brings back simplicity and a slower pace. Each roll has 24-36 exposures, so I slow down, frame things carefully, and capture the moments that truly matter. Every click of the shutter is intentional, and each image holds weight.
Okay, what's the big deal?
ALL weddings and elopements are shot in hybrid with 35mm film & digital!
Super 8, on the other hand, is where your story comes to life in motion. It’s not about cinematic perfection and there is a nostalgic texture to it that instantly transports you back. It's not polished or perfect, just honest and full of life. Each reel is filmed by hand and edited into a highlight that feels like stepping back into your wedding day, exactly as you remember it. You end up with a dreamy, documentary-style wedding film that feels straight out of a memory.
Every wedding and elopement I shoot includes both digital and film photography, so your day is preserved in every form.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Emily! She took our engagement and wedding photos, and they are simply incredible. Every time we meet she is so friendly and makes you feel so comfortable in front of her camera! She provides the perfect amount of guidance - making sure you're going to have exceptional pictures that still feel natural and genuine. I have received so many comments from friends and family about how much they love our photos and raving reviews from our other vendors, who said she was an absolute pleasure to work with at our wedding! Even with some last-minute hiccups on our wedding day, Emily was professional, fun, and flexible. Added bonus: she provided our sneak peeks in record speed! I will, without a doubt, be using Evergreen Photo Co. for all of our future photography needs!

Mountain weddings in Colorado are stunning — but they require thoughtful planning.
Things to consider:
• Altitude (hydration is key)
• Wind at high elevations
• Permit requirements for national parks
• Transportation logistics for guests
• Sunset timing in mountain valleys
I help all my couples build a timeline around lighting, weather, and location logistics to make the day stress-free.
